"Combining [brequinar] with either of two FDA-authorized COVID-19 treatments—Gilead’s remdesivir or Merck’s molnupiravir—makes these drugs more potent, according to a study done by researchers at the University of Maryland and University of Pennsylvania...The combo drugs stunted the growth of the virus in mice. The team's effort identified 122 antiviral drugs that were active against SARS-CoV-2 and tested them in a variety of combinations."
